When removing the rear brake left anchor bolt the plate that is in between became loose more on the left side of bracket than the right but still holding on, it looks like there are 2 weld spots on the back of the backing plate. with the anchor bolt reinstalled it sucks the plat tight against the backing plate will this be good or should I have the plate re welded? thanks Steve:(

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about - at any rate, I wouldn't want any marginal parts to a brake system. It's a train wreck waiting to happen. Get it fixed, or get another backing plate.

pop the diff cover, pull the pin retaining bolt, pull the pin, push the axle in, pull the c clip, pull the axle out.

Does the pin retaining bolt have a torque or any other part? thanks Steve

probably, but i've always just tightened them down nice and tight.
keep in mind that the pin retaining bolt is small and hard- which means it's brittle. they snap pretty easily.
