Well I had a bit of an accident the other day, I managed to slide the car into a curb. Dumb, I know. Anyway, I bent the drivers axle flange, bent a rim and destroyed a perfectly good trim ring. Limped the car home. Heres what I have done so far. Replaced both axles with moser 28 spline c-clips, replaced both sets of bearings, new cover for rear. New shock plates and leaf spring pads, replaced t-bolts with u-bolts.

Car is not back on the ground yet because I noticed that the leaf springs have shifted a bit on the front eye bushings, both leafs moved about 1/4 to 3/8" to the right.

Is this a problem with the driveline angles, etc?
will the car track funny?
Do you think that the springs will settle back into place?

I plan on eventually replacing the leaf springs, shackles, eye bushings and shocks, and adding either cal tracs or slide a links, I also intend to buy a BGH 8.5" 10 bolt.

Am I good to go, I really just want the car back on the road. No more gigantic burnouts I promise. :D

I would check and make sure the axle is centered, or close, under the car. Many are off a lil bit, and I'd consider shifting the springs in the eye bushings as an acceptable way to correct it, tho there not room to do much.

You can use a peice of all-thread, some nuts and washers, and a short peice of pipe to press them back where they need to be. They are not gonna move by themselves.

He, He!!

Ain't supposed ta be drifting our cars where curbs can bite you!!

You probably shifted the front spring mounts over that amount b/c there is enough slop up in there to do it..

Check them both out and I hope that you are lucky and didn't tweek your rearend housing...............
