Does anyone know where I might get a piece of resistance wire to run from the fuse block to the coil. I am going back to a points setup and really don't want to use a ballast resistor if possible.

If you can wait a day or two for me to check I'll send it to you. PM me the address you want it sent to. Pete copter May 29th, 07, 02:08 PM You should be able to get resistor wire at your local auto parts store. I got mine at Napa. ironhorse78247 May 29th, 07, 02:36 PM You should be able to get resistor wire at your local auto parts store. I got mine at Napa. Called the local NAPA and they don't carry it anymore. copter Jun 2nd, 07, 06:43 AM If you have not found it yet try Madd Electrical in California, I'm sure they can help you. If that dos'nt work let me know and I'll see what gauge I have and if it will work I'll send you some. dnult Jun 2nd, 07, 11:09 AM Once you find your wire, beware that you need a certain length of it to reach your disired resistance. For example, if it is 0.5 ohm per foot wire, and you need 2.5 ohms of it, you'll need a length 5' long. As a result, you may have to double back in the wireing harness to get the length you're after without having a loop of wire dangling somewhere. |
