Here's the car...68 camaro vert...i believe it has the deluxe interior (door panels are buried in a box somewhere)

So i took off the outer window fuzzy and it came out with the wide chrome trim that pretty much sits on top of the door and over laps about 1/2" down the side of the door.

the fuzzy bracket/backing came out after unlatching a few metal tabs that's grabbing on to the chrome piece.

what i have new is fuzzy material that clips into the door with a very small chrome bead on top of it. i rather keep the orig chrome piece that's on top of the door.

i'm having a hard time finding the right fuzzy material to use with the current piece. i read people are recommending the stick on fuzzy material...is that good enough for this application or is there something that's a little cleaner?

I think the stick on fuzzy material is not the outer or inner fuzzy, but the little fuzzy-covered bracket that fits against the inside of the window.

Sounds like you have the door ledge reveal moldings on your car and the weatherstripping for a car that does not have the trim pieces. They sell different sealing strips for cars with the wide outer chrome trim.
