Anyone have any luck dying your original carpet?
My 67 original carpet is perfect, just faded in spots.

Wondering if I could dye it back to new?

And, where can I get the dye?
Thanks Team Camaro.

I used one in a spray can and It worked pretty well. I got it at the local NAPA store.

I have the same exact issue as you...My carpet is in perfect condition....just faded in spots....I just ordered some of this product.....Not sure how good it is....but they do have quite a few colors available...

They do say...not to use it as a "spot fix"...but plan on dyeing the entire carpet...so the color will be uniform....

I have found carpert dye, just nothing that will match my 1967 Bright Blue carpet.

Under the floor mats it is like NOS -just beautiful - would really like to match it exactly.
I found that Al Knoch Corvette interiors, sells quarts of 1966 Bright blue carpet dye for $100 - i may just have to try that.
But I'm going to wait till I see them at the Next Corvette ralley.

Long Island Corvette Supply (LICS) sells various carpet dyes--I have tried sucessfully their Maroon color for my '65 L79 and it does fiberglass also (storage wells).

Thanks -- $17.00 per can. But it does not say for carpet - just vinyl, leather, fiberglass, and metal.
will call tomorrow.

I went ahead and ordered - I needed a few other things anyways.
Will see how this works.
Thanks for the tip.

I'm looking into doing the same thing in the future. Jeff, can you please post your results when you are done? I realize that it may be a long time before your do.

Thanks.
