: How To Remove 67 Deluxe door panels?

I can't believe this is stumping me and I feel... Well, you know.

Anyway, I can't get my deluxe door panels out, all screws and clips are out with the exception of the ones holding the center door cup in place. I thought the next step was to slide the panel toward the rear of the car to remove it from these brackets but I can't get it to budge.
What am I doing wrong?

These are original panels and have never been removed.

Thx, Matt

You need to first remove the inside door handle, and then the cup.
The door handle is attached with a screw. Removing the door handle screw is a major pain.

Welcome Matt. There's lots of good information on this site. Do a search on a topic and usually you will find the answer you need. Steve has you on the right track. Good luck with those door panels.

Amen 67 Brother!!:D :D

I believe you will also find two little screws in the bottom of the cup that hold it to the Arm Rest bracket.
Sometimes the screws are hard to see if the cup is dirty!

I have been putting off pulling mine because of that screw now for a month!

This is why I'm frustrated.
I've done all this and it still will not move.:(

What's done:
Removed screws along bottom of panel
Removed Door and window handles
Removed (2) screws below arm rest
Undid all clips on left and right side of panel

I'm able to slide the panel a little but it looks like it's being held by one or two "L" brackets that are behind the arm rest next to the door handle. I can feel screw heads on the inside of the panel but there is no access to them (that I can see) on the outside.

I need to read a little closer... I think this is it.
I'll clean the cup out...

Thanks

You also have the two large screws that are located under the molded arm rest area.
Call me if you are around and still don't have it off. I'm in Ventura.

Actually, I'll be in Ventura This Sat. I'm having lunch at Tailgaters Cafe then going to NPD.
I should be there around 11:30 but w/o the Camaro, it's still in pieces due the the interior restoration.

BTW, there is a small chance I'll flake, let me know if you are planning on being there and I'll call you by 10am Sat if I can't make it.
