My holley 650 DP started dumping fuel out the secondaries for some reason, you can see the gas just dumping strait down the bores.
this is a practically new carb and was fine just a few days ago.
where should i start?

Clean out the fuel lines, the needle and seat and the rear bowl. Then adjust the float level correctly.

I would bet your secondary needle and seat is leaking. I just had the same problem with a Holley Street Avenger 670. My carb started to disintegrate on the inside with pieces flaking off. Some of this junk got lodged in my needle and seat and the carb started to flood. The Holley technician I talked to informed me they had a bad batch of carbs go out about a year ago with a high lead content in the castings. Pull your fuel bowl off and if it is flaking inside call Holley and they should replace it. If the fuel bowls look alright you should clean or replace the fuel filter and clean the needle and seat assembly.

last year is when i ordered the carb from summit, i will pull the bowls tonight and check and clean the needle assembly.
This is B.S., i already had to send back the first carb they sent me , i told the summit rep i bought a new carb to avoid having problems..... so much for that theory

thanks Joe

Maybe it's something else then Joe. Pull the bowls off and check the health of the needles, seats, and floats. The floats are adjusted by loosening the lock nut on the adjustment screw on top of the float bowls. Adjust them until fuel just starts to dribble out the hole. The engine will have to be running if you have a mechanical fuel pump. If it's electric, you can do it with the engine off and electric pump running.

Update, no flaking of the float bowls just a fleck of gold of one of the floats and a little black crap hanging my needle open on the secondaries.
I have no idea were the mystery dirt came from, every thing is new, new tank ,new lines ,filter, new carb hopefully its all gone now:yes:

thanks Joe
