I believe that there are few of us on this site, that can start a project and complete it without help from others along the way. My friends and I (like many of you) work on each others cars when needed. I'm the camaro NUT in our circle of friends. Our interests are varied , 60s mustangs, shoe box chevys and 40 fords. We learn alot from each other in the process. Because the passion for the hobby is the same ,but the cars are different. We all look for parts and projects for each other without competition or profit in mind. In our group we have several great mechanics and hot rodders from "back in the Day" when you could'nt buy it off the shelf, even if you had the money. (right) These guys put me to shame when it comes to building a motor or trans. So whats my role in all this ? ......Paint and body of coarse, I've been painting cars as a hobby off and on for 30 yrs. Here are a few progress pics of a 40 sedan I have in the shop now. Wish me luck, I need to finish it, so I can get back into my Camaro world.:yes:http://inlinethumb10.webshots.com/4169/2342054540098367311S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2342054540098367311TPABjz)

Nice cars, and variety too ! The 40 ,which belongs to a friend is running a 283sbc. It has the original trans and rear. It's going to be a great cruiser. He has purchased all new chrome and stainless. New full interior ,rubber seals ,knobs and bezels will be installed as soon as I finish.:)

40 Ford and 34 Ford.... gotta love the lines on these.

Ok, back to Camaro's. I looked at your pic's and have a question about the red 69 with the deck stripes. Do you have the specifics on the tires and rims?

I just ordered a set of American Racing Original Torqu-Thrusts for my 69 SS, 15 x 7's. For tires I went with 255/70-15 rear and 215/70-15 front. I bought this car last fall and just finished installing new rear leaf springs, traction bars, headers and shocks all around.

The wheels are old as in very old torque thrust D look-a-likes 15X7 w/argent silver painted spokes. We built that car for my daughter , it's her daily driver. Tires are cooper cobras and I don't remember the size. I'll check as soon I can slow her down and let you know. The center caps w/the SS logo are custom made (i'm a pattern maker) and I had friend cast them in aluminum.
