Guys, I am installing full floor pans on my 67 conv. Driver side is going well. I noticed from the underside that the ribs in the pan are not as deep as the original. Because of this they do not sit firmly into the conv. floor brace as the originals did. Everything else matches up fine. Anyone encounter this before?

I didnt notice on mine. Its not going to be a machined fit, and keeping in mind that its a re-proed piece of sheet metal, I thought it fit ok.

Jim, thanks for the responce on your floors. The fit of mine really isn't that bad but was curious about what others look like. I found that with a slight wack of the spot in question from above seats the rib enough to make it look tighter. Thanks, Chris

I did my passenger full floor pan last year and had the same problem. I had to beat the pan down in the center to meet with the lower center support plate after I tack welded the perimeter to the tunnel and rocker. I still have about a 1/8" gap toward the sides of the center brace when viewed from below, but that was the best I could get after many test fits. I ended spending a good 4 days on just that one floor after tediously saving all the seat support brace parts and drilling out each spot weld. It would probably take a day less on a hardtop since it wouldn't have all the convertible bracing.
