Hello All
Great site:):)
This is my second post. Not sure if I posted the last one in the right spot.
so here goes again
I am going to look at a 69 yenko clone. I have no idea what to be looking for. This car supposidly sold for over 25 k in 01. Depending on condition is it worth that?? I do know some about rivieras and gto but not camaros. any suggestions and or help would be greatly appericated.
Thanks Yvonne

Yes. It could easily be worth that, depending on the condition...
Since it's a clone, you won't care about the numbers matching...
The biggest issue to check for is rust. Put it on a lift and inspect the underbody carefully.

Without knowing any more about the car and its condition it could be worth anywhere from 5k to 100k. For what its worth i saw a ZL1 clone get bid up to $110,000 at an auction recently and not make reserve. Need a ton more info on the car your talking about to give any idea on value of it.

thanks for the reply. Could you tell me things to look for? options vin#'s.That would make it more desireable? I have been trying to do some research with out much luck.
I know they could have made a 6cyl in to a yenko and I guess it would worth less than a ss/rs or some other special optioned car. Correct?
Thanks again Yvonne
Where are you located?

Since It's a clone..It all comes down to the quality & correctness of the restoration...Date coded items may increase the value some...but It's still gonna come down to how good the restoration really is....

I mean I seen a Yenko Clone the other night at a cruise-in and though it had a pretty paint job...I wouldn't of give the guy $15K for it....But Then I have also seen Yenko Clones worth more than a $100K....

Good Luck with your search.....and post pics & info on this site of any candidates you are considering....

Isn't 2001 when someone was building the series two yenkos claiming they were a second production? At any rate at that time they were bringing alot more than they were worth. I would guess that if it brought $25k at that time in the middle of the boom it would probably be a $20k car today. But again you have alot of factors to consider.
