Hi everyone!!

I have replaced all the sheet metal at the back of my 67 camaro but can't find the plates that go on the shock tower. It looks like it bolts to the tower and the shock comes up through it. Any idea where to get these. And do they go under the car or in the trunk?
Thanks alot you all have helped agreat deal on getting things done on my car.

THey are tack welded on the inside of the trunk. I don't recall seeing them in reproduction anywhere.

So you know what I am talking about. I was thinking of going to an exhaust shop and using an exhaust pipe flange. But it probbly has to have the center hole the size of the rubber bushing for the shock.
What do you think?

The plate on the inside is about 5/16" thick with a center hole about 1-1/4". there are also two holes drilled and tapped to recieve the bolts from the bottom. There is also a thinner plate that is mounted to the shock rod, which is then bolted from underneath to the thick plate on the inside. Which one are you missing?

I am missing both for both sides. If anyone knows where to get these that would be great.
Thanks

The top thick piece has two spot welds to the sheetmetal below. I got mine off with a crow bar and used an angle grinder to clean up the plate. Of course I wasn't concerned about the sheet metal below - I was replacing it.

Classic Industries, Rick's,Year One and all sell these. Sometimes they are not listed in the shock section.
