There's a word for the bidders, I believe, that starts with "s", and it is not sucker.

one of the things i found funny was the winnig bidder was as nervous as a cat in china town that he would get outbid. Man....what a hunk of crap. The rear spoiler is a piece of art.

They did not weld in any braces prior to removing the ENITRE floorpan!!

I'm not sure I understand why so much angst over this thing. Over 50% of it is aftermarket fiberglass, so who cares what happens to it from here?

Dave (1969 4me) -

To answer your question, if it was serious, no. A vert has a lot more bracing underneath than a coupe (well, this one doesn't). Most of the metal is reproduced, but it's a lot of work. You'd have a lot less money in a better car by buying one of the "replacement" vert bodies being reproduced.

I can't believe that car car even sit on the guys lawn w/out folding in on itself.

He says it has a new top, can you imagine what the shop must have said if/when he brought that thing in for a new top.

They wouldve really been confused if he had asked them to install a new carpet while they were at it :D

Pretty sure the convertible top is acting as a structural member right now... the whole shell will probably collapse into a pile if you flip the top latches.

You know, that auction gives me an idea! I'll just stack up all of my extra parts in the shape of a camaro and the bidders will go nuts!

It's not so bad. I think that would make a nice Super Gas/Comp tube chassis race car. With every thing gone I'm sure they never intended to put back on the street.
