Has anyone tried the frame rails from Classic industries. I am looking at a 1968 that could use a set.

There are some issues (like back by the rear tailpan) but all-in-all they fit good, at least in my opinion. (I used the ones on a '69 but I think '68s are the same.) Also keep in mind that they don't go all the way down.

They are not full rails.

The very end of the patch rail is not the same as the original frame rail (the spring bushing end) . You either have to cut off the very end of the old frame rail ( the part that is spot welded on to the rear inner valence panel - about 1 to 1/12 inches) or fabricate some up yourself. Also, I have found that the width of the top where the floor pan - large bumper supports weld to is not as wide as original. I ended up making mine wider by about a half inch on each side . I bought both sides for my 69 thinking that I just had to bend the ears on the end over and weld away but found out that the rail is shorter measured from the centerline of the shackle bushing to the end.
