are 7 & 8 seats the same except covers? will the covers innerchange?

For the most part, ...the answer is yes.
... keep in mind the deluxe interiors(in most cases) or convertibles had shorter back seats.
Aside from the above, ...I believe the seat frames are the same, ...but possibly different foam for deluxe vs. standard?? (someone else can comment..?)

67 Seats have metal backs, 68 seats have plastic backs. I know this because my 67 has one 67 seat and one 68 seat. lol

yea but can i put 68 standard covers on a 67 seat??

I believe there was a change in rear seat back latch too. The 67's had a 2 piece lift lever whereas the 68 year had a one piece. Other than explained above the same front seat.

Are the left and right seats the same? i assume the tracks would be different because of the adjusting lever, but are the seats interchangable?

The lever for folding the seat the seat forward will be on the wrong side.
