How crazy is it to do floors & inner rockers while my 68 is on a rotisserie? I just spent an hour under the car welding my floor pans in only to find that the welds were very poor and didn't hold because its too dark and cramped where I am working. I don't want to ruin the car by twisting it to much.

Thanks!

I wouldn't be doing it on a flip rig. Floor pans are bracing for the car. Can you not weld them in from up top??
If not you need better liting underneath. And car sitting on the wheels.

I did the one full floor on my convertible while it was supported with jackstands and had the rear axle weight (front subframe removed) and some door opening braces. Yes the welds looked crappy. Then about 8 months later and many honey-do projects, I finally got my convertible on the rotisserie and then cleaned up all the welds and added beads into the poorly done area. My suggestion would be to do it this way on a convertible. On a hardtop, I'll defer to someone else who has actually done rockers. My rockers were excellent and weren't touched.

As far as the twisting just do one side at a time while replacing. Otherwise it will quite difficult to line your doors back place. Good Luck! http://www.camaros.net/forum/rolleyes.gif
