We are having our first annual classic car show this Saturday 9 June in Stafford, Va.

We'll have 75 trophies, some major door prizes, good food and lots of unique cars. The judging will be fair and the trophies large. We already have committments from some very rare Vettes (L-88 and L89 concours restos), antique fire trucks and many cars that do not usually come out to local shows. This should be a great one.

If you are within the Northern Virginia/Richmond or DC area and looking for a show this weekend, come out on Saturday and support us. We will have many 1st Gens and hope to grow this to be the largest show in this area--as a 1st Gen owner I am working hard to attract as many 1st and 2nd Gen Camaros as possible.

I wish I would have seen this earlier this month! How did the show go over? How many cars?

It went really well--we had a bunch of Camaros and the show ended with a burnout show as each and every car exited the lot. It was a blast.

We had 70+ door prizes, 75 trophies and cars that I didn't even know were in this area. A 1919 Police car and 1938 fire truck showed up as did 63 Vette and 69 Camaro drag cars, hemi Mopars, etc.

The show was supposed to start at 11:00 but people were in place by 9:30 and we went non-stop till 4:00.

I mentioned that we forming a loose group of classic car people in Stafford/Fredericksburg and plan to head to an occasional cruise or Saturday breakfast as a group. Folks thus far are excited about it and we'll get it going after 4th of July.

We've also started a cruise at the Bruster's on 610 and all classic car drivers and family get free ice cream for bringing their car. It is from 3 to 9pm and is growing. I like the idea of free ice cream for the family and meeting up with other local car people.

The Saturday breakfast cruise sounds great. Let me know where & when. What night is the Bruster's cruise? We are lacking in Fredericksburg on Saturdays, but Friday the good old Virginia BBQ still draws about 40-50 cars depending on the weather.

The Saturday cruise is from 3 to 9 pm--I usually go about 7pm or so. It is just starting out so the numbers have not reached VA BBQ size yet. The free ice cream is a major draw...

Dang-it! I forgot (mentally-blocked more likely) that my M-in-L is coming in tomorrow...I'm not gonna be able to make it, but will put it on my calendar for next weekend. Hope ya'll have a good time!
BTW, Great meeting you too...thought your car was gorgeous...I went home and ordered one of those close-out panels right away...
