What are the dimensions of the two screws that fasten the plastic carpet guard at the base of the steering column? I plan on getting something close as I can from a hardware store.

Those are some wierd screws... good luck.

They are 1/4" coarse thread sheetmetal screws, black oxide finished, with large captive washers. My originals had one long (2") and one short (1") I can't get the short one to bite with my new carpet guard, and I'm not comepletely certian the screws were original, but I think so.

Im sure have seen them in the Classic Industries catologe...

......and they were manganese phosphosphate plated (DARK Gray/Black if you will)
Black Oxide is another process, that is less corrosion and salt spray resistant than mang phosphate.
