I'm watching the news right now and they are reporting softball size hail in the town 8 miles north and a tornado touchdown 6 miles north. Its not bad where I am for now.

I've lived in Indiana my entire life (except 4 years in the USMC). I've never seen a tornado. Hopefully it isn't as bad as the one in Greensburg, Ks. a while back. Softball sized hail would scare me worse than the tornado. Best of luck to you and everyone in the area!

It's passed and we didn't even get any rain but could see very dark sky just a couple miles to the north. The wife and I got in the truck just now and took a ride into town and passed the local Chevy dealer where most of the good cars were pulled inside but the rest had windows knocked out. I'll post pics of what I could get in a little bit.

Watch the damned hail b/c a couple of years ago the stuff almost wiped out a complete neighborhood just north of I-70 here in town over where my daughter and her family live!

It totaled her hubby's small Ford P/U, got their roof, all guttering, all their vynal(Sp?) siding and some windows!!

Neighborhood looked like a war zone, but at least they were still standing, not like the neighborhood over here by us that got hit by a tornado and absolutely destroyed houses several years back earlier!!

We were living out east in it's line and it removed a roof and sat it down right on top of a guys new P/U just a block over the hill from us!! I think there were at LEAST 3 or 4 tornados in town and in the area close by that day!!

The Tornado Sirens were going off in my town just after 7 tonight.
I was freakin' out, hadn't heard forcast for any bad weather all day, I went outside and all was calm, I called over to my brothers place a few miles away to see if they had heard anything .................................. well it was in the paper that they were going to be testing the warning system tonight ..............

Guess I should invest in a newpaper subscription.

just hit earlier a couple miles to the east of us. wifes grandma lives where it hit. (hatley Wi.) she's old and lives alone-luckily her son picked her up and took her to his house this afternoon. neighbors lost 2 barns,a house right next door was badly damaged, and trees are uprooted and scattered everywhere.no damage at grandmas-thank goodness. no injuries to anybody and thats what counts.material things can be replaced-lives can't.

My wife picked up some hail but at 83 degrees it had already been melting

and here are some cars around town . Check out the dents on that last pic. A guy I talked to there said he had some hail in his yard at 4 inches.
