Ok, found a #'s matching 66 GTO, already decoded the vin and Cowl info ....it's for sure a real GTO.
Body is pretty close to pefrect will need repainted. Interior is UNBELEIVABLY good. Four Speed Car.
Been sitting for a WHILE, but very clean...barn find car.
Owner would like 19K.
Probably all it needs is new chrome, rebuild engine, and paint.
Any ideas?

It's worth more than $19k if it needs total restoration. You better grab that one. I had a 66 GTO convertible in high school, I could pay my house off if I still had it. Good luck. Mike. :beers: :beers:

I'm not so sure...............
I've got a 67 vert solid / straight car, nice driver, POP, but NOM.
I've listed it a few times first at 35 and then at 32.
Never even got a seriuos call, just a couple tire kickers.............
I'll agree #'s matching brings up the value, but at 19 needing full resto, I think it would have to be a tri power car to even consider it.

This is NOT a vert.
Car runs and drives well. Interior needs literally almost NOTHING...like new for a 66. Chrome is "ok", but I'd put on new. Definately needs paint.
NOT a vert though.

I wasn't implying that this car was a vert. Merely stating that I had a vert in high school. Tri-power needing full restoration would be about 25k. I don't set these prices, I just go by what my bank will loan on them. The old saying that "there is an ass for every seat" does apply. Old Goats are cool, I'd have one if I had the room. Good luck. Mike. :beers: :beers:

I just bought a real nice 67 GTO with a LS-6 454 BBC, M-22 4 speed, 4.11 12 bolt for $9500. The body is real clean and the interior is also very nice original. It needs paint also. I think 19k is a little high for a 66 as you describe. I'll sell you mine minus the drivetrain
JMO of course....

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it a lot.
