I just put one in mine last month. I have an assy manual and would not have been able to do it without it, it does have a butt load of small pieces!!!, but I got mine together, only had one or two little piecs left over!:)

The bottom half of the console needs to be installed, then assemble the entire top half on the bench (gauges, glove box door, courtesy light, trim plates, etc.). If you try to install any part of the top half, including the gauges with the top half in the car, you won't be able to do it because all the fasteners that hold these pieces on come off from the bottom. It actually makes it easier to assemble on the bench. The only difficult part is hooking up the oil pressure line to the gauge.

anyone have the page of the assy manual that shows where everything on the console goes? How about posting it? I have bits and pieces of the assy manual and the console is the one subject that I don't have...:(

thanks for the help!!!!!

Chris if you have a 69 camaro, you need the whole AIM anyway, so get over to a website or catalog and order it. Its not that expensive and you will need it for other projects that pop up. AIM is Assembly Instruction Manual and as you know, is full of diagrams and wiring etc.

Yes, I think you are right. I have been getting so spoiled with all of the info I have gotten from this group of people, I guess it's about time I sprang for a shop manual. I'm sure it will come in handy for future problems also.

I found one at THE MOTOR BOOKSTORE in case anyone is interested.
