I just wanted all fellow team members to know I sold My 68 SS to a really Nice Guy named Roy Floyd in Oklahoma and He recieved it Yesterday afternoon and took it out last night to a Car Show. I spoke to Him today and He loves the Car and I hope He has as much fun driving it as I had building it. It was really sad to sell it but I really couldn't drive it because of My back problems and I refused to sell it to one of My local friends because I didn't want to see the Car at the local Cruises that would really bother Me. It was killing Me just seeing it sit in My garage and Me not being able to drive it so I finally let it go. Well at least I still have My 96 Camaro SS and I can drive that at about a half hour to an hour before the pain kicks in. I still will be reading and posting on this great site and want to thank all the Team members for all the help thru the Years. I think Roy is a team member and if He is and posts welcome Him abroad He is a really nice Camaro Guy. Thanks again Edd Gordon of Ormond Beach Florida "The birthplace of speed"

Yes it sounds sad selling, but if you couldn't enjoy it you did the right thing. Someone who loves and enjoys the car should have that feeling just as you did.
I'd rather sell mine than sit on it and watch it rust away like all these "gonna fix it one dayers". >:

Joe I did OD on Aleve and got sick to My stomach LOL. Well I really been on alot of pain meds and getting Epidural shots to relieve pain. To top off the Hurting of selling My 68SS I bought a Chrysler Mivinvan today as it seemed to be the most comfortable thing to drive beside My 96 Camaro SS. Now I got to put My 2000 Blazer for sale! I hate Chrylsers let alone a Minivan but I quess it's better then walking LOL.

Sorry to hear that Edd. I have a really bad back too. Car accidednt in 85, still in physical therapy. I can drive my 92 Bonneville, and as far as that, nothing else new. however, I can drive my 68 Caamaro or 69 Chevelle unlimited hours, pain free. Any old car is fine. Wife wants me to buy a new car. I'm sick of test drives that set me back a week with pain. I think I should buy a beat up 68 as a daily driver!:D Rick.

Rick I sold My 69 Chevelle SS with 502/502 a little over a year ago infact it was on Pinks last May 12th it Made it to the finals in the Pinks all out Show it Now owned by a Man in Clearwater Florida Named Chris Clinton if You saw the show it was the 69 Hugger Orange one with white 1970SS Style stripes it runs 10.90s now and is going into low tens. I never drove that Car at all I built while I was building My 68 SS and the Cousin to the Guy who bought just happen to be riding by My house and saw in My garage and stopped to gearhead talk to Me and I told Him I was unable to drive it and He called his cousin and they bought right then. I am now selling out all the Hot Rod stuff in My garage and cleaning up everything to make room for another 4th Gen Camaro SS as I am looking for a 2002 SS I found one with 435HP so far but haven't come to price terms with the owner Yet. Yes! I would rather buy another 69 Camaro or 70 Chevelle if I could find one already built with Auto trans and A/C and Modern seats but most I have looked at are poorly built. Thanks all You first Gen guys for all the nice posts

No My 68 SS 350 Had the 406 in it. My 96 SS is bone stock but stills turns low 13s with slicks and a few bolt ons. I am looking for a performance built LS1 4th Gen now that would at least turn in the mid 12s

I hate to hear about pain. I have been going through it for about 18 months now since surgery. I also went through "the shots" and so far it ain't working. I went in for 2 sets of shots and and so far the insurance has been billed $11,100.00 and my share has been up around $1,000.00! I had the facet (sp) shots and an epidural and it has not worked. I had surgery to remove an intradural spinal cord tumor and they did a laminectomy of T11, T12 and L1. This has been no picnic for me. They are trying to do the shots in order for me not to take narcotics for the pain. I have said the heck with the freakin' shots and just let me have a little white pill now and then. They work great and I can get on with my life!
