why are you so interested?
most here seem to agree that leafs work well, even for the drags
david pozzi is a moderator here and has lots of great information

thanks guys. sorry didnt try to sound impatient. anything less complicated? like on a gto or chevelle ? just stock coil springs instead of leaf?

Less complicated ??

It would be more complicated to put a 'stock coil spring' set-up into a leafspring chassis. Anything other than that of an 'air-bar' is going to require major surgery.

So if your gonna do it, you may as well do it right... or its just gonna be a waste of money, time and resources. But if that is your whole intent... knock yourself out.

Your other choices are a ladder bar or a four link suspension. But ladder bars pretty much are meant for straight line use and do not fair too well turning corners. Four links have limitations as well, especially in a suspension that needs to articulate like that of what a street chassis needs... but better than that of a ladder bar.
