Hi guys, I fairly new to the world of muslce and especially first generation camaros so haha please dont criticize me or make fun of me. Ah what the hell you can make fun of me. Haha

Anywho, I saw this Nickey camaro on ebay- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-NICKEY-Camaro-More-Rare-Than-Yenko-Baldwin-COPO_W0QQitemZ110139524997QQihZ001QQcategoryZ6161Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And my question was, if a certain car doesn't have the decals, should you be suspicious or awry of it? Because on the Nickey Camaros, they have Nickey decals with a backward K on the tail lights except for the decal on the side of the headlights which doesn't have a backwards K if I remember correctly.

If someone could clarify this and the authenticity of the Nickey camaro, that would be great. Thank you so much!

Well I know the caution fan sticker belongs to a Ford, they were never put on Camaros. THat answers one sticker/decal question.

Backward "K" in Nickey stickers is correct. But crankshaft bolt would not be painted orange, but would be gold cadium plated. New body bushing bolts as well.

I think Nickey had Stewart-Warner gauges vice Sun. But, I'm no expert and don't remember from then. Couldn't afford one then, can't afford one now, unless I win the Lottery.

They were stewart-warner gauges. 99% sure on that.

The man to talk to about Nickey's is Stefano Bimbi. You'll find him on yenko.net. I sent him a pm, maybe he'll pop in here.

He was there in the day, and still has contacts with several of the mechanics who built those cars. He owns the rights to the nickey logo today. You can also find him at nickeychicago.com. I have met him several times, and he's a decent guy.

they have been trying to sell that car for years as a Nickey 427 car and I know people who have looked into it but could not find anything to prove it is an original Nickey 427 car.
