my 1984 camaro was making a clicking noise when turning the wheel. right before where the steering box is mounted I found a crack in the frame. it allows the steering box to move. hopefully this can be fix by welding anybody know???

Usually a plate welded to frame and frame welded up at the cracks will help.

as everett said...make sure the plate covers a large surface area...fatigued metal crystalizes and becomes vewry brittle, even after welding is complete...hence the plate...the larger the surface welded to, the stronger the repair...
