I am thinking about buying this 71 rs. The engine is in great shape but the body has two or three spots of bondo, some rust, and is missing the passenger rear view. Tell me what you think? I am thinking 4-5.

Well to be honest If I knew where the car was and had the deal to buy it for 4-5k,Id be all over it.The motor alone could be worth that much.I'd like to know if you have actually been told 4-5 or only willing to pay that much.I have seen some 2nd gen's in similiar condition bring 3 time's that amount. good luck

Yah I was told 4-5 it was purchased by a 25 year old kid in an auction. I was just wondering how much I would need to put in it to get the body right.

check the rear frame rails good 2nd gens like to rust out there..body work can be pretty expensive but it does look like the motor and other stuff is worth the asking price..

How bad we talking ball park me? I found three spots of bondo and the hood is about 1/4 in off.

I own a 71 plain jane .. and for a real 71 RS running with a good motor for 4-5 K . Thats a Good Deal !!
