I had my Alu. intake and transmission soda blasted and the intake looks good, but the transmission did not turn out very good. I really would not like to send it off to get restored.

Larry, try to help you out a little bit here, these colors are on a chevelle and not a Camaro, but it may help you decide on different colors to paint your transmission.

I don't think a guy that wanted a correct color transmission would use this, but sometimes it will give a guy an idea of getting it closer to what he wants.

I cleaned the trans with lacquer thinner in a spray can, and a small wire brush, I just brushed and rinsed it with lacquer thinner, you can spray it with lacquer thinner and blow it off, like in sheets to clean cast.

But use caution on the fumes, breathing them and on your skin and being highly flammable.

Anyway, on my website iIhave a couple pictures under chevelle super sport chassis pictures, # 38 and 62 shows a trans.

Also on my site under paints and primers I listed what was painted with what, including the trans.

Larry you may have already done this, but make sure that you get all of the blasting material from underneath the heat sheild on you intake manifold, otherwise it will end up in the oil7motor.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was preparing my engine to crank outside the car. I'm a steel fabricator by trade so it was easy to made an engine stand myself. I removed my intake and clean in out.
