Hi....My 69' still has its original fenders and valences but, the radiator support seems too new for it. Any way to tell an original/NOS support from a reproduction? Thanks...Pete

Look for dimples along the top edge where a car with a/c would have a rubber seal going all the way side to side across the support to seal up against the hood when its closed. This helps force air thru the radiator for the a/c. Those dimples would be drilled out for an a/c car but left intact for a non a/c car. :)

Thanks Jim...the support has 9 marks that look as they're punched. 1 is directly in the center and the others are approx. 5 -6 inches apart. Are these what you're referring to? The other thing I noticed, it doesn't have the (2) 1/2" diameter holes that are on the front edge, i think these holes are what some people mount external tranny coolers to. It's an Oct. 69 car if that helps. Thanks Pete

Those marks are probably the dimples for the a/c seal, which means its a major contributing factor to being original or at least NOS replacement from Chev. if it was ever damaged. Im not sure about tranny coolers mount holes. People might have used those for mounting but they were not made for that, since factory tranny coolers are not original Chev. but just aftermarket.
