96 3.8 drum brakes. how do i pull the axle out?

1) Remove differential cover, while draining fluid.
2) Remove Bolt holding in pin. Remove pin.
3) push in on axle shaft and remove c-clip from end of axle.
4) pull axle out from rear end.

In a "nut shell" this should work for you.

You have a bad seal ? bad bearing and rough spot on axle? There is a bearing saver kit from Timken for this. Been there. Replace the other side also.
