I recently changed the fluid and put in some Lucas 85W90 Gear Oil in the Differential. It said on the bottle that additional additivies were not necessary when using their product. I know that typically you add 4 oz. of special fluid for posi units to prevent chatter. Has anybody tried this Lucas gear oil w/o the additive and found that it worked??? Anybody find that it didn't do the job???

Only way to tell is to drive it and see if you get any clutch chatter when you turn sharp corners. If you do then put in the additive. If you don't then leave it alone.
