Anyone know what the voltage of a stock coil (non HEI)...more acurately a replacement coil from Standard or KEM, is? I was considering getting a Pertronix 45,000 volt replacement but if the "stock" one is in that neighborhood it don't make sense.

Most stock coils will put out between 25,000 to 30,000 volts. The Pertronix Flamethrower will put out up to 45,000 volts. It's a slight improvement over stock, but you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference in performance between the two.
