I'm pulling the engine out of my 69 and I'm not sure how to unhook the zbar, pivot ball, and clutch linkage. Anyone have any advice or tricks?
Thanx Dan

It makes it easier to get to the top mounting bolt that holds the Z-bar to that plate. There is a nut that holds the Z-bar to the mouning plate. Sometimes it hard to get to unless you have most things removed like the brake booster and such. If you can get to that nut, you really don't have to remove the side plate on the frame. Also just unhook the linkage from the Z bar. It's probably just a cotter pin holding it in. You can leave the pivot ball on the engine. |
