Not really sure what forum to use...
I can't seem to locate a source for the spring on the rear license plate holder / fuel door. Seems like a waste to buy the entire assembly when only the spring has rusted and broke. Does anyone know of a source?
Thanks.

Chuck, Because I coudn't find a repro for my 67 I bought a license plate holder for a 69 and am going to modify it. Which means I have to take the spring off.
If you want to send me your address in a private message I will mail it to you in one of those shipping envelopes.

Not only would it be expensive to buy a repop 69 license plate holder, but they are not technically accurate. I forget the exact differences, but I think it's the indentations and shape of the hinge.

67-68s did not use a rear license frame. Tag fastens to the rear panel.
69s need it because the fuel car was behind it.
