Just got done with my tko-600 install on my 67 Camaro. I want to hook up the nuetral safety switch on the trans, but the gage of the wire is alot smaller than the start wire. Looks like maybe 16 gage compared to 12 on the start circuit. Do you guys think this is acceptable or should i not hook it up? Thanks for the input.

Insight? Me? hehe.

If the car was originally an automatic, I'd put the relay in the console. The "main wires" will be there from the old neutral safety switch, connect them to the load side of the relay.

Power will be there, pink wire from the backup lights (verify this has power in "start")

Then just run wires to the plug on the TKO, one to relay coil second connection, the other grounded to the floor.

If the car was originally a stick, you'll be starting from scratch, even if it had a console none of these wires will be in it, 67 sticks did not have a safety switch. You'll need to intercept the purple wire somewhere between the ignition switch and the starter.

If it was a column automatic, the purple wires will be at the old switch at the base of the column.

Regardless, I'd put the relay as close to where you find the purple wires as possible, And bring the power and tko switch wires to that location.
