Went up north in Sweden for a vacationtrip, looked at some cool cars as well to the wifes pleasure:D.

Made a visit to a guy that has a original untouched 69 Z/28. Not really untouched since the previous owner did a paintjob to it in the early 80's. It was never apart, just at the time popular highlight color like painting the underside yellow.

Here is the trimtag, more will come later.

Here are some more pictures, I came back a few hours ago and I have 1400 pictures to go through, 1100 of them on cars.

This Camaro has a great story behind it. It was imported here in 1975 and bought by a man living out in the far north. Next to him lived a family with a six year old boy. The boy saw the car and was hooked. All the time when he was growing up this green Camaro was his dream, he wanted one when he got older. Then came the time when he got his license and he asked his neighbor if he could buy the car that now was sitting outside and was never used. The man said as usual no and the time passed. The boy, now a man, even had nightmares that someone else had bought the car. Then a few years ago the man gave after and sold it to the happiest man on earth. After dreaming of this car for 25 years it was now his car. :beers:

It is a X77 but with DeLuxe interior and center console. It has no PowerSteering. Everything on this one is untouched except the yellowpaint and a outside paintjob many, many years ago. The boy remembers the black stripes but they are over painted. As discussed many times this one doesn't have the proportional valve either. When it came to Sweden it had fivespoke mags, so the RallyeWheels are gone, except for the sparewheel. The inspection in 1975 didn't allowed the magwheels so the present 14" where put on and has since been on the car. When it came here it had been in NewYork State and already had rusted wheelwells. The air in Northern Sweden is very dry so it hasn't rusted anymore than it had when it came here.
Plans are to restore it, the 302 is complete and in good shape. The present owner had the good judgement to lift it out and drive with a 350 instead.
When you look at the pictures you can see headers, this are the ones that the car had from NewYork. Could this be the "original" Z/28 headers, they have a fourbolted collectorflange.

OMG...is that shag carpet?:D Definitely 70's. Awesome pics, thanks for sharing.

I had the pleasure of staying in Stockholm for a 5 day business trip (SAS was hosting) back in 02'. Got to see the great ship that was recovered after sinking on its maiden voyage a few centuries ago, and now has its own museum. Had reindeer for dinner in some restaurant that's been around for centuries (underground, cave-like rooms...can't recall the name...too much wine;)). Very cool place.
