Hi All:
I took a break from working on my 68 RS for the day and was helping a friend replace the catalytic converter on his 84 Camaro. We determined the old one was blocked and picked up a new one.
The original had a small tube coming out of it that ran up somewhere into the engine compartment.
The new one has the small tube coming out of it, but it has a cap on the end. Does the new converter need to be connected to the existing tube, or do we just leave it capped?
This is my first time dealing with a catalytic converter, so I am a little confused.
Thanks.
