Hey i recently sold my 67 Chevelle and now im looking for a new project. Im thinking of buying a cheap 82-up Camaro body for around $500 bucks or so and rebuilding the suspension and then adding a Big Block. Since all Big Block dimensions are roughly the same, my main questions on this type of install are...1. What motor mounts will i have to use? 2.Since the engine will be carbed...if i cut out the computer, will it affect the gauges, lights, signals, etc? 3. Will i have to use Big Block springs on the front end. Thanks and i hope ya can help me.

I think Hooker used to have a conversion kit listed, take a look at their catalog.

I have an 82 Z28 with a 454 in it.The engine bolts right in using the original motor mounts provided the are V8 mounts.I am using a set of Hooker headers that are built for this swap. The trans will bolt up if you have a v8 car if you want to use it.Not really a good idea. Its better to go with a 400 or 350 turbo.Anything else let me know.Ill be happy to answer any other questions!
