Its for my 67 camaro cope ,with a 350 engine with headers manual trans Thanks Tony
BlackoutSteve Jul 7th, 07, 12:58 AM I think you'll need to have it fabricated.
I only know of full systems made of mild steel as per OE.
Generally, a twin 2.5" system will do fine for a typical 350.
X-pipes are a good idea for performance, but will raise the note only slightly.
68sixspeed Jul 7th, 07, 09:54 AM Magnaflow does make a stainless 2.5 x pipe system which should be good for your car. (possible even a bit big, but you should be ok.) I recently installed their 3" system on my 68; frankly it was a bear to install. The bends/quality of the kit is nice, but it did take a lot of cut/weld to fit right. If you have patience and access to a tig welder, it is a nice looking/sounding setup though.
TIM FLANNIGAN Jul 7th, 07, 10:08 AM check out gardner exhaust systems on the web and call them, all custom made and will bolt right up.
Erik Beckett Jul 7th, 07, 07:10 PM I have a Borla stainless steel exhaust and headers for sale. the headers are really cool and the exhaust is nice as well. It comes out all the way to back of the car with nice polishes tips cut on an angle. It sounds real nice like no other exhaust I have heard. It is 2.25" and cost about $800 for everything. i would take less then half. let me know.

m21man Jul 8th, 07, 01:42 PM Go w/ the Flowmaster 50 series mufflers (little quieter than 40 series) w/ H pipe. Sounds SSick!

Jonesy Jul 8th, 07, 06:15 PM I bought mine at Rick's and installed it myself. My car has factory exhaust manifolds, factory exhaust hangers and it bolted right up. It is the transverse system like the factory and it also sounds great.

FYI, I had some issues with how the Magnaflow system exited out the back on my '69. It fit fine in between the springs and the quater panel, but they dump down and angle inwards towards the center of the car. May not be an issue for some, but it bugged me and I got rid of the magnaflow.... It did sound good though. Currently running Borla mufflers on a Flowmaster kit. Love the sound...

I noticed the same thing on it dumping about 4-5" in from the quarter panel edge and pointing more down than out-- but I thought I might have messed up the angle trying to clear coilovers out back... but I guess it wasn't me! FYI, I bought a J bend section and spliced in a piece to re-aim the tailpipe to fix. I've been pretty happy with the sound too- deep at idle but not echo-ey then it gets real racey around 3200-3500rpm.

Hey TMessick,
How about a sound bite and a few details about yer Camaros setup. :beers:
TMessick Jul 10th, 07, 12:53 AM There are some sound clips posted at the end of my "Magnaflow didn't fit so good" post HERE (http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=107868)
Admittedly, the sound bytes aren't too good and I was still workgin through break-in so I was short-shifting at 3000 or 3500. I plan on getting somoe new ones, but my trans started making a bit of a noise on Fri, so I pulled it out -- seems it could use a freshening, but I think I may just pick up a different trans and ebay this one.... In any case, hard to get more sound bytes for now.
The Magnaflow (with the X-pipe) sounded a bit throatier at idle and, I dunno, smoother? due to the X-pipe (less distinct pulses compared to the Flowmaster system with the H-pipe, but I may be imagining that) Honestly I think the Magnaflow muffler setup is pretty good, but every muffler comparison I've ever seen puts the Borla's ahead of nearly everyone for power and I was kind of pissed about the Magnaflow exhaust, so I didn't want their mufflers.
pdq67 Jul 10th, 07, 06:31 PM Try D&R!

I figure they are reselling the kit I told you was made, but that I forgot who make's it!!
And D&R has quite a list so pick what you want.
