In the future I'm going to upgrade my moser 12 bolt to a 1350 pinion yoke. I plan on installing a TKO so I'm going to be ordering a new drive shaft with 1350 on it, but what is involved to update my rearend. Do you have to pull the rearend apart to do this? Do I have to replace the pinion seal? My rearend is about a year old with less than 700 miles on it.
Thanks

Remove the old yoke. Clean the pinion shaft. Get a new pinion nut. Smear RTV sealant into the splines in the new yoke. Oil the seal. Put the new yoke on. Put some red Loctite on the threads. Torque the nut to 150 foot pounds.

Thanks Freddy. Seems easy enough to do.

You will also need a new drive shaft as it makes no sense to have a 1310 and 1350 mix in the universal joint just to retain the old shaft. A large diameter aluminum tube is lighter and stronger.

Yep, get one of these. I did exactly what Freddie told me to do. Works great.
