Hi,

How can you tell a real 1969 camaro users manaual (glove compartment size) vs. a reproduction? I bought one recently in mint condition but after comparing to my reproduction not sure if it is an original?

They both say third edition April 1969-

thanks

Working as a technical advisor consultant for the printing industry it would be seen in images where there would be moiré-effects in the screening.

A reproduction of such an old print would require scanning of the pages and a loss in quality and sharpness.

Is the Emissions insert (center pages) white or yellow?

Look to see where the POP was attached in the back...

Dennis, I don't recall my POP ever being attached to the manual. Are you talking about stapling?

Someone posted a link a few years ago on how to spot the repops, including how to tell the differences between the original and the repop plastic pouches that the owner's manual comes in. I'll have to search my archives for that link.

I know there were others. I'll keep looking. The ones above are for Corvettes, but there are a lot of common characteristics with other GM products.

A couple of the ones I have seen just had impressions of the POP worn into the back cover so it looks like the POP had been attached or at least placed between the back page and cover for many years...
