View Full Version : Muscle Car Legends-Idabel, OK
68fan Jul 8th, 07, 12:12 PM Wow, I just got back from southeast Oklahoma. I dropped by a museum called "Muscle Car Legends" just south of Idabel, OK. It was amazing. He has a special interest in first generation Camaros. He has a '67, '68, and '69 SS convertible, each with an L78 375 hp big block!!! They are clean, especially the '68 SS/RS 4-speed convertible with power windows and delux interior with head rests (Ash gold paint and black interior and top). He also had a '69 COPO 427 original and (beilive it or not) a ZL1 getting restored with the all-aluminume engine on a stand in excellent condition. He also had two hemis--one a '70 Cuda convertible (1 of 14?). If you are ever in the area, you've got to see this. Ask for directions. Everyone in town knows where it is, but I drove by 3 times before I found it behind a movie theater. Wish I had taken a camera-I will next time!
clill Jul 8th, 07, 08:19 PM That is my friend Phil's place. He has my old Burgundy L78 SS convert. He has lots of cool cars and I'm guessing he is a member here.

My wife and I vacationed in Gatlinburg 2 yrs ago and I discovered the museum when I got lost trying to find the road back to the Knoxville airport. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit. Makes me sick to think I was that close and will probably never be back. A long way from Wyoming.

That car was bad......302 12.5:1 comp...fast fast fast. It was not the dz, but a home made 302, but I beat many 440's 390's and what ever I could get a hold of damn 4k!!!!
