Can someone tell me how to tell a left headlight bucket from a right?
I am getting the car back soon and need to order a replacement for one of the buckets... Without the car here I dont know which is which..
The car is a 68 base coupe...
Thanks!

The adjustimg screws for the lamp are on the top and to the outside of the car. The bucket has a hole with a wide slot. The slot goes up.

They should actually be stamped with a "L" or an "R".

Is there a particular spot they were stamped?:clonk:

Actually i worded this wrong...It is not the actual bucket I need to identify, but the bracket that mounts to the Rad support and fender.. I assume this would hold true that the adjusting screws would be at top and outside with the spring located at the bottom...
Please correct me if this is incorrect..

the bucket bracket-headlight adjustment screws are on top and on the outside...
Head light buckets are stamped once on the driver side with DR. Started in 53-54 I believe... and stopped when the square headlights showed up in the early 80's may vary somewhat...

You are correct. The bracket bolts to the rad support w/ 2 bolts then bends to the outside. The bottom of the bracket bolts to the inner fender. The top of the bracket has a nylon nut (square hole) that mounts the grille and the last vertical tab bolts to the header panel/fender jopint. I see date stamp numbers stamped on mine, but not a left or right. What do you say Kyvox?
