Getting ready to stripe my race car - Just wanted to confirm that the following measurements will look right:
1969 camaro
front stripes - 14.5 at the cowl tapering .75 inches to the front

Rear stripes - 14.5 tapering to about 14.25 at the spoiler,

I have seen stripes close to the rear window chrome within an inch and also about 2 in away,which is right.

The pin stripe is 3/8ths with a 1/4 inch body color stripe in between.

Remember guys this is a race car - close is okay... the cement walls don't mind if the stripes are correct..

Sounds good, except the front edge of the rear (outer) stripe should be 5/8" from the bottom of the bright molding below the rear window.

Get the stencil kit!!!!!!!!! Experience is the best teacher. If you use masking tape, get the plastic stuff. It is more expensive but it is worth it. Bill

Also check the placement of the header and deck emblems, the header should be just clear of the outside stripe and the deck emblem should be just inside of the wide stripe, you may have to fudge the sizes some to get the correct placement.BTW, this would be the case in factory installed emblems only, don't adjust for and emblem that was installed different than the factory specs. Also, this is '69 specs, the deck is different on 67-68.
