I just sandblasted the rear drum brakes backing plates and would like to know what the proper color to paint them is, or were they left natural? thanks

They were bolted to the axle and the entire unit was painted, roughly around a 60% gloss black. :thumbsup:

Checking the rearend for the '72 Nova I agree with Dave but the '67 12 bolt in the Camaro they were more gunmetal, kinda charcoal-silver blue in color instead of black. Maybe they didn't get hit when the axle was shot sometimes...
