It is only going to get worse when ebay allows seller's id to be kept secret! They need to be more responsible... sellers id should never be a secret... heck when you have a garage sale the buyers know where you live... when you shop at a grocery store you know where to return something... but online auctioning with blocked seller id is basically allowing crimanal activity... if you want to sell something legitimatelly then you should be willing to be identified and stake your reputation on it..

Isnt the name "GENERAL MOTORS" trademarked? The last time I checked it was. If somebody is making these tags and selling them to make $$$ then GM should be notified about this.Would they care? I have no idea but its worth a try if there is so much concern. How can you tell if the tag id fake anyway? The more that know the better chance of spotting them. There is always someone ripping off another person to make money and yes I agree its getting worse. The start would be the Trade Mark infringment, somebody has to know whos making these tags.Counterfiet clothing is highly illegal and people will serve prison time for distributing that crap.Even model car kits using any GM name have to be licenced by GM and they are just plastic. How about contacting SEMA? They seem to support our old steel in other ways?
Just my 2 cents,if no move is made someone ends up with your King & Queen :boxing:

I looked at TrimTags site for licensing approval from GM and don't see anything in regard to it. So I e-mailed them that question and will see if they respond. If the guy selling the tag bought it from them then it's the companies like TrimTags that would have to be responsible.

Moreover, it is a certification of compliance issued by GM, the authority manufacturing the car. It would seem that GM would have some problem with someone reproducing a CERTIFICATION plate!!!
