Search here for "fake tag" and download pics, and search for "good" or "real" and download pics, and then study. Or, whenever there's a question on a tag, post it here and the experts will say good or fake.

Ive suggested in the past that there be a locked sticky at the top of the Tag Team section titled "How to spot a fake tag", and have the post contain the standard TC disclaimer about this issue.

There are many real and fake tags displayed here. Copy them and study them.

Your suggestion has come up in the back room Dave and much like actually posting how to tell, sticking something along the lines of the advice always given when asked just makes it easier for the folks we don't wish to share info with. When the question comes up it also slides away and that makes it so a fake tagger has to ask or search instead of looking at the top of the forum...
