Mark C Jul 11th, 07, 10:17 AM They used the same assembly code stamp for the entire day, unless the stamp, or one of the dies broke. The stamp was assembled at the beginning of the first shift each day and used until the end of the last shift each day. At about 60 DZ blocks being built a day, chances of breaking the stamp was pretty small. The second one (where you can see the lifter bore) is a restamp. the other is real. sizzlnz Jul 11th, 07, 11:59 PM OUTCH thats mine !!! was there only one location where they assembled engines ? The block was never decked I will see if i can get a better picture tomorow . JohnZ Jul 14th, 07, 08:15 PM OUTCH thats mine !!! was there only one location where they assembled engines ? All "DZ"-code engines were built at Flint V-8. jus4funn68 Jul 15th, 07, 02:27 PM James even though the block is a restamp, you still have a GREAT looking Camaro! Kevin  |
