Guys, I need a little help. I am putting on new trunk torsion bars and did not think to mark the old ones and which side is which. The new bars are mark LH and RH (RH has a larger diameter since I am putting on a spoiler). Now comes my question even though they are mark RH and LH which one do I put one which side????? Does the RH bar's long bend go on the right hand side with the torque from that bar applying to the left hinge or does the long bend go on the left hand side with the torque applying to the right hinge???? All of my references are when I am standing at the back facing into the trunk.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

the longer bend on rh would go on the right side, the longet bend on lh would go on left side

I just noticed this post is 11 days old, but.

This is a 1969 chevelle, might not help, but you never know, anyway for whats it worth.

I am glad I am the not the only one who sees this as unclear, which one goes where???? The 69 are a little different then the 70-81, the problem is that the 70-81 are under the rear cover below the rear window so you just can't look and find out.
