I am looking to replace the driver's side door on my 69 camaro. In the 07/01 issue of "Chevy High Performance", I found a company that claims to sell new replacement doors for $320.00. The company is DR Classic. Their web site is www.DRClassic.com. (http://www.DRClassic.com.) I was wondering if anyone had any imput or experience with this company and if this seems like a fair price? The ad is on page 101 of CHP.
Thanks,
Ryan

Aloha in D& R's (2001) catalog it shows o9n pages 27 & 28 the door shells complete RH/LH for $249.00 each for years 67-81 and $275.00 for 85-92. On page 234 it lists Rust free doors for 67-69 for $350 I take it these would be orginal doors from donor cars. Does not say if they have all the hardware and glass still in them.
? to all who have had to install door glass would it be worth it to get one that has the glass installed already or get the shells and tranplant the hardware and glass from the old doors that are being replaced. One benifit of the shells is that the correct glass would be date coded .
if anyone needs the part numbers let me know and ill send the number out just let me know the year and what side RH/LH

Ryan, i would think the ad you saw in the Mag is for one of the $350 doors if you order them make sure you clip out the ad or copy it and send it with your order so you get the advertised price.

I think Goodmark is offering door shells now. I can check with them thursday for you. I live close to them and can get a pretty decent deal.

Just got an E-mail from a Mr Mike Pratt from tech@drclassic.com he says the Door shells are just that and all old hardware would have to be transfered from the old doors to the new one. KInd of fig that but when they say COMPLETE door shells i thought i would still ask. He also said the price of the shells is $319.00 each. Catalog lists them as $249.00. I E-mailed him about the price difference. i also asked who makes the doors. As for the ORG rust free doors they have none in stock at this time and he said their very hard to find and EXPENSIVE. Kind of knew that already also. He did say they have the Door Shells in stock though.
I will update on the next reply i get from him.
