When I was shopping around for exhausts I looked for clips of various combinations and couldn't find much. So maybe this will be useful to someone.

This is a clip of my 3" exhaust with an X-pipe and Borla XR-1 mufflers turned down at the axle. On a smallblock Chevy with 1-3/4" headers.

This engine actually had a 3" Flowmaster exhaust on it in when it was in the Chevelle. The Flowmasters were about the same tone at idle, had more resonance while cruising, and were more raspy at wide open throttle. The Borlas definitely have a more refined muscle sound throughout the rpm range, which I prefer.

I agree, Jim needs to set the camera down and give us a few tromps on the loud peddle.

Okay fellas, will do. I'll do that tomorrow. I just replaced the Brodix valve covers with my Chevrolet cast covers and I need to pick up some bolts for them tomorrow to tighten them down first. :thumbsup:

They are 40943. They are a better fit than 40944.
