What would this '69 be? Thanks, guys.

All I can read is:

ST69 12437 NOR 184195??

TR 723 59 59

110 ???

Anyone have better eyes than I do? It's a pic I received.

That should read 11C, not 110. Early tag before the X codes.

Decode is:

Decode for body number: 184195

11C = Built the Third week of November.
69-12437 = Coupe.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
723 = Standard Midnight Green Bucket Seats.
59-59 = Car Color is Frost Green

SO, the color and interior are completely changed.

There's nothing on a cowl tag, even with an X code, to designate an RS, although certain X codes could exclude the car from being an RS. X11, X22, X33 could be an RS, but X44, X55, X66 could not. If the rear seat back can be removed, there could be some codes still written on the bulkhead. You'd expect to see something like "LG" and "X1" on this car.

You'll have to look at the clues posted in the other thread, or get more pics underhood (wiper motor, looking for the headlight washer solenoid on top, etc.)

Thank you very much, Eric. I'm going to Dallas in the morning to take a look at her and visit some friends while I'm there. If I bring her home, I'll post pics.

Wish me luck.

Well, I'm in Dallas and saw the car. Not bad looking and appears to be solid. The engine had power like it was from the 80's and the auto tranny shifts too hard. The headlight flaps had problems opening and closing. Besides that, the car was solid. Oh yeah, the tilt wheel is not original on the car. He came down from 24500.00 to 22000.00.

Take a refigerator magnet put it in a sandwhich bag and slide it along the body panels, if it doesn't stick it's body filler.
